Fusion Piping Systems
Leak-free, joint-free plastic piping for water, gas, and hot-water systems — fused, not glued.

Fusion piping joins plastic pipe by melting the pipe and fitting together so they cool into a single continuous piece of material. There is no glue, no threads, no gasket, and no mechanical coupling to loosen over time — the joint is as strong as the pipe itself. That is why fusion systems are the standard for buried water services, underground gas lines, and a growing number of commercial hot and cold water risers.
On Our Way Plumbing installs and repairs the main fusion piping families. HDPE and MDPE polyethylene are used for underground water and gas service lines, where flexibility, corrosion resistance, and long continuous runs matter. PP-R and PP-RCT polypropylene are used inside buildings for domestic hot and cold water, recirculation, and hydronic piping. We join them with butt fusion, socket fusion, and electrofusion depending on pipe size, material, and the job site — and we pressure test every system before it is backfilled or closed in.
Fusion piping is a good fit for new construction, building additions, service line replacements, and repiping projects where you want to get away from corroding steel or failing joints. Call On Our Way Plumbing at 216-677-2707 for fusion piping work in Cleveland and Greater Cleveland. You get a written free quote before we start and a workmanship warranty when we finish.

Fusion Piping Systems FAQ
Common questions about our fusion piping systems service.
A fusion joint is a homogeneous weld of the pipe material itself, so there is no solvent cement, thread sealant, or gasket that can fail. Properly made fusion joints are typically as strong as the pipe wall, and the plastic does not corrode or scale the way steel or copper can.
Polyethylene (HDPE or MDPE) is the usual choice for buried water and gas lines. Polypropylene (PP-R or PP-RCT) is used above ground inside buildings for hot and cold water. We will recommend a material based on the fluid, temperature, pressure, and local code requirements.
Yes. Manufacturers make transition fittings — threaded, flanged, and mechanical adapters — that connect fusion systems to copper, steel, or PVC. We make those transitions in accessible locations so they can be inspected later.
