Gas Line Installation
New gas line for a range, dryer, water heater, fireplace, or outdoor grill.

Adding a new gas appliance — a gas range, dryer, tankless water heater, fireplace, pool heater, or outdoor grill — requires a properly sized, permitted, and inspected gas line. On Our Way Plumbing installs new gas lines throughout Cleveland and Greater Cleveland. Every installation is completed by a licensed gas technician, pressure-tested, and inspected before it goes into service.
We handle sizing calculations (BTU load × distance × pipe size), routing decisions, all required permits and city inspections, and coordination with your gas utility. We work with black iron, corrugated stainless steel tubing (CSST), and copper — whatever is right for your home's construction and local code. If your existing main service is undersized for the new demand (common when adding a tankless water heater or high-BTU range), we upsize it as part of the job.

Gas Line Installation FAQ
Common questions about our gas line installation service.
In Ohio, gas line installation requires a licensed contractor and permit. DIY gas line work is illegal and, more importantly, dangerous — undersized or improperly sealed lines can cause leaks, fires, or explosions.
Often yes. Tankless units draw 180,000–200,000 BTU at peak — much more than a tank heater. Many older homes have 1/2" lines that need to be upsized to 3/4" or larger. We calculate this during the quote.
Simple appliance connections (dryer, range) can be a few hours. Longer runs, upsizing main service, or exterior gas lines to a grill or pool heater may take a full day, plus 1–2 days for permit inspection.
